A man was killed Tuesday after being stuck in between a shipping container and building wall in Newark, according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé.

It happened at 3:55 p.m. at a business in the 200 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue.

Fragé says Newark firefighters and members of the Newark Police Emergency Services Unit were able to move the container and free the victim who was pronounced dead at 4:50 p.m.

The incident remains under investigation, but officials say foul play is not suspected.
