NYPD: Cyclist hospitalized following car crash in Mott Haven

A cyclist was taken to the hospital with head injuries after he and a driver collided in Mott Haven overnight, police say.

Police say the incident happened just before 11 p.m. on East 139th Street and St. Ann's Avenue.

The driver, a 61-year-old woman, was behind the wheel of a 2016 white Hyundai suburban when her car and the cyclist crashed.

The driver stayed on the scene. The cyclist is currently unconscious.
