Concourse Village tenants living on Morris Avenue rallied outside Bronx Housing Court Monday morning to demand much-needed repairs be made to their apartments.

The tenants, who have taken legal action against their landlord, currently live in rent-stabilized apartments at 918 Morris Ave. They say they have been living in deplorable conditions with everything from mold to gaping holes.

The tenants claim they have reached out to their landlord, MidBronx, on multiple occasions for repairs to be made but have not had any luck.

In August 2023, they began working with Bronx Legal Services in order to take legal action.

Monday was their second court date, but their legal representatives say the judge adjourned the case and ordered the tenants to provide the landlord with additional access dates to their apartments so repairs can be made.

They are due back in court in September.

News 12 has been in contact with the landlord who says he has proof repairs were made.

He says he plans to share them with News 12, but the documents have not been sent yet.
