Driver going wrong way fatally strikes man in the Bronx, police say

A Bronx man has been arrested and charged in connection to a homicide in Manhattan, police say.

According to the NYPD, officers responded to reports of a suspicious package in front a building on East 27th Street Monday. Upon arrival, police found 31-year-old Yazmeen William unresponsive inside a plastic bag. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, 55 year-old Chad Irish, is now facing one count of concealment of a human corpse.

Officials say Irish has 19 prior charges including attempted murder and arson for threatening to blow up his uncle's house 20 years ago.
