Sneaker Con, the iconic shoe collecting event, made its return to New York City on Saturday – drawing sneakerheads from across the country to Coney Island's Maimonides Park.

Vendors were looking to resell their vintage stock of Nike, Adidas and smaller brand sneakers to crowds of buyers looking to add to their collection, or just enjoy the fashion event.

The event also saw an appearance from iconic shoe designer Steven Smith, the man behind many silhouettes for Nike, Adidas and Yeezy brands.

"This is a great event, its gathering of all the sneaker heads, collectors, fans and resellers,” he told News 12. “Of course, many of what these kids are wearing I designed, and anything you could possibly want you can find here."

Organizers paid homage to New York’s unique sneaker culture during a live show preformed onsite.

The event was also a chance for resellers to meet their customers and expand their businesses.

"You have to meet the people…so that the next generation can understand why we love it out here," said reseller Alex Sossa of resale page BoyKryKickz.
