Police say a man is in critical condition after being hit by a car on the Bruckner Expressway right by the Hutchinson River Parkway.

The accident sparked tons of traffic on the Bruckner Expressway. All lanes have since reopened but residual traffic is expected.

Police say this all happened around 4 a.m. Friday.

Police say a person got into a crash, then it seems they got out of the car and then was hit.

The FDY says first responders took two people to the hospital.
