Prominent names in the Puerto Rican community were honored Thursday evening by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson at the newly opened Bronx Music Hall.
This year’s honorees included:
Maximino "Maxi" Rivera – the founder of the Rainbow Garden of Life + Health
Chef Billy Jack Perez - culinary educator and celebrity chef
Madelyn V. Marquez - Crain's New York Business's 2021 Most Notable Women on Wall Street
Jerry Vargas - co-talent coordinator for the 116th Street Festival.
Gino Pacheco - business owner and philanthropist
The event also featured Bomba and Plena performers, as well as a poetry reading by poet Jennifer Diaz.
