According to investigators, a 17-year-old girl was slashed in the face by a man on the 4 train on Dec. 17.

Police said the incident happened at 4:30 p.m. when the teen hopped on the 4 train at the 161st Street station.

That’s when they say a man approached her and slashed her on the left cheek. When they arrived at the 149th St—Grand Concourse station, the suspect ran off.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be okay.

One day later, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced an additional 250 National Guard members will be deployed to New York City subway stations ahead of the holiday season.
