Starting Monday, New York City will deploy two officers on every overnight subway train, adding 300 officers to the system.

The $77 million plan, funded by the state, aims to improve safety and deter crime.

"We must give people the feeling of safety and there's no better way to do it than that omnipresence of that blue uniform," said Mayor Eric Adams.

News 12's Natalie Hernandez spoke to commuters about their thoughts on the increased police presence.
