NYPD: Teens and preteen targeted in various crimes around The Bronx

Police are investigating a series of crimes that targeted teens and one preteen.

Police say that a series of crimes targeting teens and one preteen are currently under investigation.

On Feb. 12 in Melrose, police say a 15-year-old girl was walking along St. Anne’s Avenue when she was inappropriately touched in the legs and backside.

Two people approached a 12-year-old boy, threatened him and took his cellphone on Feb. 13 in Unionport.

The week before, six people threatened a 17-year-old boy with a knife before taking his sneakers and a cellphone on Feb. 6 in Soundview.

Police are calling on anyone with information to call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
