Bronx man indicted for 2025 murder of teen waiting for school bus

Police say an 18-year-old woman was robbed in Belmont Friday night by a group of about 20 people.

The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. at E. 187th Street and Beaumont Avenue.

According to police, the victim was surrounded by about 20 people – then one man in the group punched her. The group then took her phone, wallet and purse which contained $415.

Police say no arrests have been made.

According to city data, the robberies in the area are up over 30% from this time last year.
