Additional information has been revealed about the 4-year-old girl who was found inside a Wakefield apartment with her dead mother and brother.

The 38-year-old mother was identified as Lisa Cotton. She was discovered dead alongside her 8-year-old son during a wellness check on Friday.

Her father, Hubert Cotton, says his grandchild managed to survive on chocolate she found around the apartment.

The young girl was trapped there for at least two weeks, according to authorities. She is now in her grandfather’s care.

Hubert says he is waiting to learn more about the exact cause of their deaths.

Authorities say the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) had visited the home earlier in the week.
