A pothole located outside of a playground in Highbridge is causing a lot of concern with residents.

It's located on Woodycrest Avenue near the corner of W. 166th Street. It appears there is actually more than one hole forming. Neighbors say they don't know exactly when it started. But according to Google Maps, it appears the problem may have began as far back as 2021. The most recent photo from last August shows an orange cone stuck inside.

A lot of neighbors are afraid someone will get seriously hurt if it's not fixed soon.

A kid could fall in there, break their arm," said Edwin Santana. "An old person could fall, a blind person, a car get stuck. Anything could happen."

A spokesperson from the DOT said they've inspected the location and are working with sister agencies to determine the cause of the roadway condition.
