The family of Francisco Guzman is fighting to hold the NYPD accountable after they say two officers left their loved one to die.

News 12 was there as his family watched for the first time video that appears to confirm their suspicions.

“If it was their child, would they want someone to leave them there like that just to die," said Carmen Colon, Francisco's stepmother.

Guzman died in a Manhattan car crash on April 2.

Police said Guzman was driving a 2025 Honda CR-V southbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway, exited on Dyckman Street and collided with a Parks Department building, before the car burst into flames.

Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene. Sources tell News 12 the Honda was reported stolen.

The victim’s family claims officers assigned to the 50th Precinct in Kingsbridge chased the Bronx man into Manhattan, then left the scene after the crash.

“When was it determined that police officers get to decide whose life to save," said Colon.

News 12 has not been able to confirm that with police, but a spokesperson said two officers involved in the incident have been suspended pending review.

The incident is under investigation by the NYPD and the New York Attorney General’s Office.
