Neighbors were alerted by the Department of Buildings at the end of April that construction could soon begin at 4350 Van Cortlandt Park East, a longtime medical office.

“I only found out, when I got the notification about the fact that they were supposedly going to do work," said Robert Smith, a Woodlawn resident.

DOB records show that an application has been filed at the site for a four-story 29-family building.

“If you have something else here, a massive building it’s just not going to go over well," said Tara Mahon, a Woodlawn resident.

Residents tell News 12 they are worried more people in the neighborhood will make ongoing issues worse.

“Where are all the cars going to go then? There’s no parking as it is," said Gerald Sullivan, a Woodlawn resident.

At this time the application is currently under plan examiner review.
