Police say a teen was shot in Melrose amid what officers say is a disturbing trend of violence involving youth.

According to police, the incident happened around 8 p.m. on Morris Avenue and East 153rd Street.

Police say the teen was shot in the right leg and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say no arrests have been made.
