Lawman Lynch and Bianca Cunninghan are challenging incumbent Council Member Darlene Mealy to represent District 41.
Lynch said his passion for creating a space of opportunities and change for his neighborhood is the driving force for his campaign. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica - and District 41 was his first stop on the journey.
Cunningham says her start in advocacy came several years ago, as she worked to help unionize and rally workers against injustices in the workplace.
She says she is ready to take on more for her community after 15 years of living in District 41.
News 12 reached out to Mealy for an interview multiple times and she has not yet responded.
