NYPD: Woman found stabbed to death in Fordham apartment
Police say they initially responded to a call for an assault in progress inside of 2295 Grand Concourse just before 3 p.m.

A woman was found stabbed to death inside an apartment on the Grand Concourse in Fordham Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they took someone into custody in connection the stabbing, but no charges have been filed yet.
Police say they initially responded to a call for an assault in progress inside of 2295 Grand Concourse just before 3 p.m. Officers arriving on scene found an unresponsive woman stabbed multiple times throughout her body.
News 12 is told EMS rushed the woman to BronxCare Health Care System, where she was pronounced dead.
NYPD data shows murders are actually down significantly in the area that covers the 46th precinct. This time last year, there were 17. Now, there are about four, including Tuesday's.
