NYPD statistics show drop in murder, spike in felony assaults

The NYPD says a 15-year-old boy was robbed at the corner of East 170th Street and Grand Concourse.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. on July 31.

Police say the teen was approached by four people who started talking to him. One of them then snatched his iPhone.

When the teen demanded it back, police say one person punched him several times, while another threatened to stab him.
