Amazon Fresh store in Plainview to close
Amazon says the last day the store will be open is Sept. 28.

Amazon has announced its decision to close its Amazon Fresh location in Plainview.
The store had its grand opening just last year in October.
“Certain store locations work better than others, and after an assessment of our offering, we’ve decided to close our Amazon Fresh store in Plainview," said an Amazon spokesperson.
The last day the store will be open is Sept. 28.
The grocery fulfillment center in Bethpage will continue to serve customers in the area with Amazon Fresh grocery pickup and delivery.
Amazon says that the Plainview store employees will have the opportunity to transfer to roles at other nearby sites.
