Anthos Home is a nonprofit organization that helps vulnerable New Yorkers transition into permanent housing using housing vouchers.

About 80% of families with vouchers struggle to find a landlord willing or able to accept them.

This can result in thousands of families being stuck in the shelter system for years.

Anthos Home bridges the gap by being the main point of contact for families and landlords. They are involved from start to finish with the initial application process and then with the moving process.

With a 100% success rate, Shanea Rollins and her family are just one example of how this can program can change lives.

"It's changed my life in so many ways. It's the reason I want to become a foster parent; it's the reason I'm doing better. I moved to a new area to start everything new for my children and I after exiting a shelter," said Rollins.

D'Andra Lewin, a supervisor at Anthos home says a process that usually takes years to get through can now take a few short months.

"With the help of Anthos home, most of our participants are able to exit shelter with the housing process within 5 months of submission," says Lewin.
