A local workshop is inviting beginners to learn new trades and create everyday items ranging from steel planters to leather bags.
Jeff Jeffries, the owner of Craftsman Ave, took over the handicraft business a few years ago with a mission to make the artisan experience less intimidating. The studio offers workshops in woodworking, knifemaking, leather work and stained glass making.
"Everyone has a lil' maker in 'em," Jeffries said.
