A Bronx couple says they’ve been forced to live in unsanitary conditions for weeks after sewage began backing up into their apartment, flooding their bathroom with feces, urine and dirty brown water.

Victor and Dominga tell News 12 the sewage has been bubbling up through their toilet and bathtub inside their Longfellow Avenue home, leaving behind an overpowering odor and forcing them to clean up waste daily.

Victor was recently hospitalized with a bacterial infection. He tells News 12 he’s too weak to keep scrubbing floors while sewage continues to pour into their apartment.

News 12 contacted building management, which said it was working on the issue for several days and promised water would be restored and a plumber would arrive within the hour.

But while News 12 was on scene, the apartment still had no running water — and the couple says no plumber ever showed up.

Now, they’re pleading for a permanent solution and asking to be relocated before their health worsens.
