The Department of Transportations announced that alternate side parking regulations will start on Thursday, Feb. 19.

If you don't move your car, you can get a $65 ticket.

This comes after the biggest snowstorm of the year and Bronxites are still dealing with the aftermath.

Piles of snow were seen on every corner, even taking up parking spots and crosswalks.

Due to this, drivers were not required to move their vehicles but today that all changes.

The Department of Sanitation says they're sending out 100 pickup truck plows to get rid of the remaining snow saying, "It will make a huge difference in the cleanliness of every block."

News 12 spoke with Moses who came outside as he was getting a ticket. He says he didn't know the regulations started today.

"I understand that but I saw other people parked and you haven't had to move your cars because of the snow, but I understand the snow is melted pretty much now and they have to clean the street," says Moses.
