A man is dead following a shooting in East New York, police say.

The violence unfolded in front of 783 Drew St. just after 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say officers found the man with a gunshot wound to his chest.

EMS took him to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he died.
