An unseasonable warm-up takes hold for the first half of the work week. Temperatures will climb significantly, hitting the low 70s today and potentially soaring to a summer-like 80 by Wednesday.
It will stay a bit cooler along the Long Island Sound beaches, though still very mild for this time of year.
For today, it will be a bit windy with gusts 25-30 miles per hour, but it will be a warm wind! Skies clear tonight after clouds dominate the skies this afternoon.
The region is currently in need of moisture, but the upcoming week looks mostly dry. Aside from a spot shower possible today and again late Thursday night into Friday, rain chances remain slim.
