A car rammed a police cruiser multiple times before racing away during a traffic stop gone awry in Gravesend, authorities say.

Officers attempted to stop the red Kia with New Jersey license plates near 52 Avenue V just after 2 p.m. Monday. Police sources tell News 12 the officers identified the driver in connection with another incident.

The NYPD was able to track the car down approximately two miles away, near Homecrest Avenue and Williams Court, where Citizen app footage shows the Kia crashed onto the sidewalk.

Authorities say officers took the driver and the passenger, both men, into custody. One of these officers suffered minor injuries while detaining the driver.

The officer was treated at the 60th precinct and is expected to be OK.

Official charges have not been filed as of Monday evening.
