A rare baby boom has occurred at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport.

A record setting 15 baby boys were born in a row.

Baby number 15 was born at 12 p.m. Thursday. Omar and Mayra Rodriguez, of Sandy Hook, welcomed Milan, who weighted at 7 pounds and 10 ounces.

"The chances of having 15 boys in a row is like 1 in 32,000. We've never seen this. I've been practicing obstetrics for more than 30 years. We've never had runs for more than five or six boys or girls. So this is just a lot of fun. Like I said, very excited for the families," says Dr. Dan Gottschall.

However, that record was soon broken.

An hour after Milan was born, a baby girl was born.
