Hudson Valley residents voice concerns on reoccurring Route 6 potholes
On Monday, News 12 spoke with those near the Mahopac and Westchester border about potholes on Route 6, as State DOT workers were seen filling some near the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Some drivers in the Hudson Valley say that Route 6 is filled with potholes.
News 12 drove through the Yorktown Heights to Mahopac corridor to see what the conditions are link.
Some drivers in the area say it's an annual recurrence to see potholes throughout the roadway.
"This year it seems to be more intense, maybe because of all that snow and ice that we had? It is, I think, much more pronounced this year. It's a situation where you try to avoid one and you hit another," said Mahopac resident Bob Stasiak.
New York State Department of Transportation workers were seen filling the potholes Monday afternoon, though many drivers say they would like to see the road fully repaved in that area.
The DOT says that maintenance crews are working around the clock to repair potholes.
"While potholes commonly form during the winter months, this year’s problem has been intensified by recent severe weather and repeated freeze–thaw cycles. NYSDOT appreciates the public’s patience as crews continue repairs," a spokesperson wrote in a statement.
