A new report by American Lung Association shows that 152 million Americans live in counties that have high levels of smog or soot.

In this year's "State of the Air Report", 7 out of 8 Connecticut counties received a "F" grade, including Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven counties.

The report tracks smog, along with short and long-term particle pollution, which includes dust, dirt, soot and smoke.

Experts say poor air quality can cause asthma attacks, heart attacks, strokes, preterm births and even lung cancer.
