FORECAST

Skies across the Hudson Valley will be generally clear during the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop into the 40s and even some upper 30s in colder spots. There could be some frost well north but otherwise an uneventful night.

Monday looks like the "Pick of the Week," with seasonable spring weather settling in. Expect a mix of sunshine and passing clouds, comfortable temperatures in the 60s and dry conditions throughout the day. It’ll feel much more typical for late April, with light winds and no major weather concerns.

Tuesday and Wednesday continue the mild trend, though changes begin to develop. Tuesday stays partly sunny with temperatures in the 60s and generally dry weather, but clouds will gradually increase. Skies turn more overcast by Wednesday, with scattered showers developing, especially later in the day, as a more unsettled pattern starts to take shape.

Rain chances increase late Wednesday into Thursday as a frontal system moves through the region. Periods of rain are likely overnight Wednesday and into Thursday, with a cooler, cloudier feel and temperatures dropping back into the 50s. While not a washout the entire time, expect a damp stretch that could include steady showers at times before conditions begin to improve later in the week.
