A 34‑year‑old Bronx man was arrested following an alleged rape that happened overnight between April 26 and April 27, according to police sources.

Sources say the assault took place inside an apartment on West 174th Street. The victim, who is under the age of 15, began watching movies with the suspect, identified as Jose Ramos.

Investigators state that the situation escalated into a sexual assault sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 3 a.m.

Ramos has no prior criminal history, according to sources.

He is now facing charges, including rape and acting in a manner injurious to a child. The nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victim remains under investigation.
