Trafficked toucans get second chance at life due to Bronx Zoo efforts

A group of trafficked toucans are getting a second chance at a lovely life thanks to the Bronx Zoo.

The Wildlife Conservation Society says 14 for the exotic birds were successfully rehabilitated at the zoo. The group was discovered sedated and hidden inside a vehicle in critical condition at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Ten of them were transferred to other zoos while four of them are here in The Bronx.
