Family confirm identity of woman killed in Belmont fire

The FDNY was called to an apartment building located at 660 East 187th St. on April 21 for a fire.

The family of a 19-year-old killed in a fire in Belmont has identified her.

A family spokesperson tells News 12 that Nakayla Moreno was a free-spirited girl who loved food, dancing and her family. She was cremated this past Friday. Her family will be having a memorial for her.

A 17-year-old girl, Michelle Gonzalez, was also killed in the blaze.

The FDNY was called to an apartment building located at 660 East 187th St. on April 21 for a fire. A portion of the building collapsed and injured dozens of people.
