One person injured in overnight house fire in Throggs Neck

The FDNY says three people are fighting for their lives after a fire erupted inside a building on Bainbridge Avenue on Monday. Two others were also hurt — one suffered serious injuries, while the other only suffered minor injuries.

Crews responded to the second-floor blaze at 2609 Bainbridge Ave. just before 3:30 p.m.

Citizen app footage shows black smoke rising from the rooftop while firefighters work their way inside from the fire escape.

Fire officials say EMS took all five victims to the hospital.
