Authorities seized at least 100 pounds of marijuana products Monday afternoon from a suspected illegal cannabis operation in Mott Haven, marking the third major drug bust tied to the property in less than two years.
The raid happened at 516 Timpson Place, where sheriff’s deputies were seen carrying dozens of bags filled with cannabis products and THC vape pens out of a storefront operating under the name “Bud-Zotic.”
A notice of closure posted at the front of the property stated the company did not have a license to manufacture cannabis products, which were neither tested nor approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
The notice also stated the facility was located too close to a school, place of worship or youth facility.
Authorities have not yet released an official total of how many products were seized or announced any arrests.
The location has been tied to multiple large-scale drug investigations over the past two years.
Last August, authorities seized more than 1,200 pounds of marijuana products worth an estimated $3.2 million from “Bud-Zotic,” which previously operated out of the same building. Investigators at the time also recovered an imitation firearm, methamphetamine and approximately $21,000 in cash.
The property connecting 516 and 522 Timpson Place was also linked to a separate $10 million drug bust in July 2024.
Officials said the building owners previously rented space to individuals connected to the earlier drug investigations.
