Police say an MTA train conductor was attacked at the 3rd Avenue-138th Street station in Mott Haven.
The 47-year-old man was operating a northbound 6 train just after 9 p.m. Saturday when his attacker walked up to the train and demanded that they open the doors. Authorities say he then punched the conductor in the face before running out of the station.
EMS took the conductor to Montefiore Westchester Square. Police say he is expected to recover.
The attacker remains on the loose.
