A new study has found that changing medical advice has led to a 17% decrease in childhood egg allergies.
The study published in JAMA Pediatrics looked at babies in Australia and the country's evolving health recommendations over the past decade.
In 2008, The American Academy of Pediatrics recommended people introduce eggs to children by the time they are 6 months old.
That was a change from advice they released in 2000 when the association recommended families wait until a child is up to 2 years old in high-risk cases.
