Man wanted for raping 13-year-old girl in Van Cortlandt Park
Police say the girl was riding a northbound BX9 bus around 10 p.m. when an unidentified man approached her.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with raping a 13-year-old girl in Van Cortlandt Park on June 23.
Police say the girl was riding a northbound BX9 bus around 10 p.m. when an unidentified man approached her.
When they exited the bus near Broadway and West 261st St., the man grabbed her and dragged her into a wooded area, where he sexually assaulted her.
The attacker then ran off on foot.
The victim was taken by EMS to a local hospital in stable condition.
