A person was seriously injured during an apartment fire in Claremont, the FDNY says.
Fire crews responded to 1408 Webster Ave. just before 1:30 p.m. Monday. Citizen app video captured firefighters battling the ninth-floor blaze from inside, sending jets of water shooting from multiple windows.
Fire officials say 120 fire and EMS personnel were called to the scene.
According to the FDNY, crews controlled the blaze in just over an hour.
Paramedics rushed the seriously injured person to Saint Barnabas Hospital.
The FDNY says a firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze and was taken to a nearby hospital.
