Two teens injured in Tremont slashing

A 15-year-old girl was slashed in the leg during a robbery in Mount Eden Sunday night.

The violent robbery happened just after 9 p.m. near E. 174th St. and Walton Avenue.

Police say the 15-year-old girl was approached by two women. The two women upon asking her questions started to assault the teen.

The 15-year-old sustained a slash wound to her upper right thigh. During the assault the two women removed a fanny pack from the teen containing her phone.

Police have arrested 18-year-old British Stubbs for assault, robbery and harassment. 19-year-old Akeelah Garret has also been arrested and is now facing charges for robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
