Teen stabbed trying to break up fight inside Melrose Houses

An 18-year-old man was stabbed trying to break up a fight inside NYCHA's Melrose Houses, the NYPD says.
According to police, the teen saw a group of people fighting around 3:30 p.m. on June 22 inside 700 Morris Ave.
One of the people involved in the fight stabbed the teen in the lower back when he tried to intervene.
Paramedics took him to Lincoln Hospital. He is expected to recover, according to the NYPD.
Police say the teen's attacker took off running after the stabbing.
