Teen violently robbed of cellphone in Kingsbridge Heights

Investigators say the man approached the teen and demanded his cellphone. The teen refused and the man proceeded to punch the teen in the face.

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a 15-year-old boy in Kingsbridge Heights.

The incident happened back on May 21. in front of 2780 Reservoir Ave. just before 3:40 p.m.

Investigators say the man approached the teen and demanded his cellphone. The teen refused and the man proceeded to punch the teen in the face. He removed the cellphone from the teen before fleeing on foot.

EMS treated the teen for his injuries on scene.

The man was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, and blue surgical facemask.
