Another round of severe weather to the tri-state area brought severe flooding to areas of the Bronx.

News 12 cameras captured floodwaters outside the Pelham Parkway subway station. Many subway riders were forced to step right out from the tracks and into the heavy rain and floodwater.

Cars parked on Laconia Street sat in inches of rain water. Even e-bikes left out front of the station were stuck in the water.

The area is no stranger to flash flooding.

News 12 cameras were there on Aug. 4 when heavy rain turned the streets into pools of water.

Subway riders tell News 12 tell it's a regular occurrence.

“The flooding is insane, like they need to do something to fix it,” Mai Smith, an East Tremont resident, said.

“They need a better drainage system, that would be more effective," Ayana Millionard, a Brooklyn resident said. "So that when it do rains like this, that way they have a system that works”

It's a reminder that the National Weather Service says it is "never safe to drive or walk through floodwaters."
