New Jersey woman ID'd as the victim in a deadly stabbing in Times Square

A 32-year-old New Jersey woman has been identified as the person who was fatally stabbed in Times Square on Monday in what the NYPD is calling a random-unprovoked attack.
Erin Piacenti was hired in 2025 to work as a vice president with Bank of America. She lived in Chester with her husband of two years.
The NYPD says Piacenti and a 68-year-old man were attacked at around 4 p.m. by Pamela Cisneros, who police say had a history of mental health issues but no prior arrests. Police say the Queens, New York woman was located by responding officers after the two stabbings and fatally shot after threatening several policemen.
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch says Cisneros was holding two knives and was tasered before shot.
“Both stabbings occurred within approximately 20 seconds of each other. She told the officers 'I’m not dropping anything I’d rather kill both of you,' she repeated 'I will kill you,'" said NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
The male stabbing victim survived his injuries and remains hospitalized.
Piacenti's family requested privacy.
