A third arrest has been made in the investigation into a fatal Concourse Village attack that left a man dead after he was allegedly beaten, left unconscious in the roadway and struck by two vehicles, including an NYPD cruiser on Aug. 8, according to the NYPD.
Jacob Alvarez, 23, was arrested Tuesday and charged with manslaughter.
His arrest comes weeks after Luis Torres, 39, and Felipe Reynoso, 38, were taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Both men face attempted murder, attempted assault and assault charges for their alleged involvement in the attack.
Police say the man was assaulted near East 166th Street and College Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. and was left unconscious in the street.
Investigators say a white SUV later struck the victim and continued driving.
Moments afterward, an NYPD vehicle traveling at approximately 12 mph also hit the man.
Despite lifesaving efforts by responding officers and EMS personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Surveillance video obtained by News 12 captured the aftermath of the incident, showing officers stopping to render aid while awaiting emergency responders.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
