2 teens in custody after 13 cars damaged in Gravesend

Two teens are in custody after a crash that damaged 13 cars in Gravesend.
Cellphone video obtained by News 12 shows the damage after the incident.
It happened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday along East 2nd Street between Avenue P and Quentin Road.
"I couldn't even recognize what [the] make, model [was of the car] ," said Sylvia Wong, of Gravesend.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was behind the wheel of the dark-colored Polestar sedan. A 16-year-old boy was the passenger.
"I heard a loud 'Bam,' and then my baby was awakened," said Wong. "We were so shocked."
"All I saw was the airbags inflated, and no one was in the car," said David Morales, of Gravesend.
Police said the two teens ran off after the crash, but they were later taken into custody.
Investigators said the two boys were issued criminal summonses for fleeing the scene of an accident and unlicensed operator. Their identities were not released because they are minors.
No one was hurt in the crash.
