Police sources say a bullet struck her in the ribs near Adee Avenue. She was rushed to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
Three men wearing black clothing and ski masks were seen fleeing on Hering Avenue following the shooting.
Investigators say they are searching for the group. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning.
