The boyfriend of a Bronx mother was charged in connection with her murder on Saturday night, police and family say.

Officers walked Tiliek Thompson, 41, out of the 33rd Precinct in handcuffs, as family and friends of slain 27-year-old Lovay Williams watched from behind a barricade.

Police say they found Williams while responding to a wellness check just after 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 6. She was discovered with trauma to her head and neck inside her West 156th Street home.

Williams' 7-year-old daughter was in the apartment when Thompson allegedly carried out the fatal attack. She was then left behind with her mother's lifeless body.

Although Williams lived in Washington Heights when she passed, she was born and raised in the Bronx. Her father, Nuquan Williams, is a Bronx-based DJ who goes by DJ Kidnu.

Six days after the young mother's passing, Thompson - the man Williams' family says subjected the 27-year-old to ongoing domestic violence - is behind bars.

Thompson, of Harlem, faces a slew of charges, including murder, three counts of assault, strangulation, criminal obstruction of breathing, child abandonment, two counts of harassment and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

According to the NYPD, Thompson has a history of domestic violence charges and was wanted for separate incidents. The alleged killer has been behind bars on assault charges twice and was also previously charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Tune in to News 12 on Sunday to learn more about Williams’ story.
