Man arrested for Hunts Point deadly shooting

A man was killed in crash between a motorcycle and an SUV in New Cassel Monday afternoon.

According to Homicide Squad detectives, a 2024 Subaru traveling westbound on Old Country Road around 12:30 p.m. when he made a left-hand turn.

The vehicle collided with a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle being operated by a 29-year-old man in the vicinity of Bond Street.

The unidentified victim suffered serious injuries at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, Nassau police say.

Additionally, the 81-year-old driver of the Subaru was transported to the hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
